Q: How would you trim ringbone on a foot; without shoes?

Horse is 16 yrs old, lame, and foot is turned out on the left front, accordingly to the owner.

Kind of invasive to trim ringbone. Might want to let a vet do it. ;)

Justin, I was thinking the same thing.

Regardless, when trimming to manage ringbone, I shorten the phalaneal lever as much as is pragmatic, keep the angles on the high side, and roll the edges of the wall as much as is practical so that breakover is eased in all directions. I also conserve as much sole as possible.
