Any of antipodean friends had experience with these "My husband and I shoe our horses the 'Cytek' way. Horses for courses again - the wide metal protects their soles and they're quick and easy to put on, last a long time and are self trimming. We're both 'old' and 'sore'. Maybe have a look at one of Cytek's sites http://www.cytekhorse.com.au/"
The toe is raped back beyond all reasonable measure so that when the horse drags its dorsal wall along the floor as the breakover is somewhere 6 foot behind the horse, the wall that is scraped along the floor gets dubbed off further giving a false impression of a short toe. I dont get to see these things on feet here anymore, its rare you will see natural balance.
um thats not a natural balance shoe. The feet in the after photos are not trimmed properly and are certainly not done by someone trained by Gene.
Cytek shoes are much faster to apply as you cannot shape them. So you save all that wasted time fitting the shoe to the foot.
George, my apologies I wasnt meaning to take a stab at NB shoeing. I shoe a handful with natural balance and they go very well in the set up. I was more referring to the fact that you dont see or rarely see cytek around my location along with that you rarely see natural balance too. In the same respect you don't see leisure horses shod with pencilled heels or ponies shod with 3/4 x 7/16 anymore. Sorry for the confusion
