My daughter's show horse has Navicular and the vet recommened an aluminum JB bar shoe to keep his heels contained and to provide more support. My problem is, I've never worked with this or any other barshoe for that matter. Question is, what's the best way to shape them properly? I have an anvil and a stalljack but when I try to shape them to fit his foot, the shoe doesn't really bend much and I just wind up smashing the nailholes shut. Any recommendations?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,

I would suggest that you hire a competent farrier/horseshoer for this project, put him/her in touch with the vet to find out whats s going.

    Regards
