This is a continuation of the topic of getting your horse to be OK with plastics bags that got into the "somewhat off track" wedge shoes thread.

I'm working on this with my horses.

Kim's mounted police horse believe it or not had a fear like a lot of horses of plastic bags.

I love this cartoon. I often wonder what is it with horses and plastic bags.

The way I got her to start accepting them better was three fold..............

    1. I worked on desensitizing her to one flapping on her attached to a stick and dragging it around her feet with a string.

    2. I'd play "chase" with any blowing bag I could find. I'd make her chase it down and praise her heavily if she "caught" it by stepping on it.

    3. During Mardi Gras, I'd make her stay collected and do some shoulder in and out to take her mind off all the bags "attacking" her.
