What brand of shoe out there do you think have better fitting nail holes at the end of the day its about nail fit and quality of nail do you think
Seems to me that some shoes work better with certain brands of nail as there's as much variation between nail head dimensions from brand to brand as there is nail hole dimensions. I pick shoes based on stock section and coarse or fine nail line suitable to the horse, then I try different nails to find what works best with that shoe. Kerk and Ray Steele shoes always have clean nail holes. I was never happy with the quality of the nail holes (not punched clean) on St. Croix or Diamond.
I think Billys shoes are the nearest thing to ideal pitch having coarse nail holes can land the young and in experienced in hot water
