    Justin with my limitted expreance with this type of injury I think that you bar needs to cover the frog more and have more suport latteraly to aid in a faster recovery time.

    I'll agree with that, it was talked about after the horse was done. My intentions were to bump some more meat into a frog plate but my propane tank let me down.

    Got called back out to look at this one again, I just did him the one time. Other guy had the cracks grown out so the took the bar shoes off and pop!!

    I believe that was about ten weeks. I'm not going to beat the farrier up, he's the one that called me to help not the owner.

    I would love to see x-rays of that one.
    In at least one hoof(LF) it looks like the wall and the coffin bone have parted ways.
