    If I'm using machine made bar shoes I prefer Pledgers on narrow heeled horses but the Blurton are better for wider heeled. When i say this I mean the measurement between the heels.

    Never through the old ones away, cut the insert out and weld it on a shoe you have fitted to a horse.

    the insert never wears out and saves 20 bucks :D

    I would sooner make them Lane
    i would not be gone on either blurton or pleger bar shoes

    Yes I know smitty ... My arms and elbows hurt bad enough without building shoes .. I guess I just don't see myself building a pair heartbars for $25 :)
