Justin, I was thinking the same thing. Regardless, when trimming to manage ringbone, I shorten the phalaneal lever as much as is pragmatic, keep the angles on the high side, and roll the edges of the wall as much as is practical so that breakover is eased in all directions. I also conserve as much sole as possible.
