Now that I am on the mend, and I can see the sun riding over the horizen once again, I bought a new trailer to build a work shop in as I intend to increas my shoeing area and pick up more drafts to trim and shoe here in south Texas. It is in brand new condition and I also bought a nice shop coal forge, hood and all for my shop here on the farm. Since I can't lift anything till the end of June the forge will be delivered to me in Houston and transfered into my truck at that time (end of June). The trailer Sharon and I went and picked up today. Bucky Hatfield isn't in the best of health and we have been visiting back and forth since I met him a couple of years ago at the Hoof Conference in Cincinattii. Sharon and I drove up to his home north of Houston this afternoon and I purchessed a few item left over from his shoeing school days. I brought home a ton of bar stock and several tools. Now I am home and a wee bit spent from the 1 1/2 hr trip each way, so will rest up the rest of the afternoon. I am pretty excited and can't wait until I am cut loose to lift and move items once again. my 2 cents worth
Hi Tom, Bucky and his wife have a beautiful place and I got the complete tour. His health isn't the best and he is visiting the VA hospital a lot. You should give him a call, I know he would enjoy hearing from you. He showed me the origional founding group of the Guild . He has a lot of pictures that go way back. If you need his phone number let me know. Bruce
