Oh that's a great line to start a party with.
If you had to chose whom you would be tortured by, I'll bet a little bit of research would get you to beg to go to Gitmo.

I didn't think I was starting any party, thought it was a fair question, cant imagine security allowing farriers to fly in given its recent use. I would love to have had Gary's experience, I love travelling, as the saying goes " The world is a book and those who don't travel read only one page"

Unfortunately Bill in the unlikely event of either happening its more likely to be muslim fanatics considering where i'm living!

Waterboarding is not torture, you have to clean those prisoners up somehow.

Obama put a stop to that anyways!!;)

Justin, have you ever undergone waterboarding? I have, as a part of SERE training that I underwent lo this many years ago. While it may not be torture, it is certainly, in the current vernacular, 'an advanced interrogation technique'....... Its a pity that the current numnuts-in-chief ended the practice.

Not that I want to get into it but water boarding serves no use to get reliable intel. Its type of thing that fascist dictators aprove of.

That would be considered cruel and unusual punishmelent and given the fact that the administaration dorsnt even have to have shred of evidense to target people (even us citizens for assasination) its likely no attention will be given to see that a person actually committed a crime. If we are talking about gitmo prisoners im sure many of them are bad people but there were plenty that they can't prove did anything wrong at all. One has to make the distinction between terrorist and fighters. Its a complex matter that the administrations have screwed up completely. If they were not terrorists before they probably are now. I'm still not sure if it's Obama’s 2nd term or George w Bush's 4th.

I'm not sure Ray will like this discussion to continue much further, but I'm pretty sure terrorist do not have the same constitutional rights that we Americans have. Although we are losing more of them ourselves everyday. How does one make the distinction between terrorist and fighter? That's kinda like saying you shouldn't shoot a woman or a child when they have a suicide vest strapped to there chest.

It is God's job to judge [Muslim] terrorists. It is the job of the USMC to arrange the meeting. In their absence, I'm willing and would be proud to be their proxy.

If Cody has gotten some information about flying roud shoeing horses, that s good in my opinion, if folks would like to start a thread of a political nature and discuss USA /world or world /USA, goods and bads or the perceptions thereof, that would be good in my opinion, and i ll take part, but i just don t see what waterboarding and terrorists etc. have to do with who should pay for the tools and supplies if your flying round................ please start another thread, two days and i ll delete what does not pertain to the flying farrier.

    Regards

    Ray

I never liked or understand the phrase constitutional rights. The Constitution does not grant rights to anybody. It is simply a document that limits governmental power. It doesn't simply just limit the power in relation to Americans, it doesn't matter who it is. The founding fathers Limited government intervention in due process for good reason. The understood the evils and the scope of emotionaly driven action.

Someone who engages the enemy or occupying force its not the same as someone who kills civilians. When captured the former is held until hostilities are over. The latter is put on trial evidence of criminal action is presented.

The willingness of people to punish based on emotions and not evidence of wrong doing troubles me deeply.

.... and I'm done with this topic. Sorry guys!

You might want to examine the first 10 amendments of the constitution, better known as the Bill of Rights.
