    Here is my contribution to Red's new venture. The links in the post above should link to videos of my technique for foal extensions. I show two cases- one getting a toe extension while sedated and the second a heel extension without sedation. I hope the links work!

    thanks for the post, question, is there or have you had any trouble with the firm/hard urethane against the sole? sole pressure?

    No problems that I am aware of. I am really only using a small amount on the sole- just enough to hold the plate in place while the cuff sets.

    Pat, is that good old fibreglass sock your using or something else?

    It is biaxial braided polyester.

    At what stage pat are you going to address the excess sole & toe ?

    It is not excessive toe, it serves to increase the DDFT tension during the period of laxity. The certainly is no excess of sole, unless you consider Strasser's method to be ideal.
