Karen On what basis in farriering knowledge are you deciding to delete threads upon . Which information in your opinion Is relevant to the discussion on a particular thread. It seems your basing your decisions making on friendships & their popularity with you or who is whingging to you the most . David Hall> You are like that drunk in the pub who sits there and has an opinion on everything and knowledge of nothing. You surround your text with abuse and bullying and you think it makes you clever. Personally I dont worry about you but unfortunately some do and have stopped posting in the same way they would probably drink else where if it was a pub.
You have turned what should be a good evening of relaxation into something unpleasant, that is your aim and should be ignored, and I do. The sad thing is you are making people reluctant to post or even come on the site.
I would forgive you if your posts were interesting informative or funny, they arnt, You are just a bully and a bore!!
Say what you like you are back on my ignore list.I didn't see you delete this one. Did this bother me from David NO!!! we have whingging Poms over here. So I'm use to their Whinnging & complaning all the time. They even do it in their sleep. Why they never stayed in the Uk has got me beat. Maybe because they Whinng more over their & they couldn't get heard in the crowds of whinnges. Time to pull up a little HYNKEL.

You're right, Jack. I don't base my deleting threads on farrier knowledge. I re-opened the TWH thread. Sometimes things are just a no-win situation. I try to base my decisions on where the line is between good BS and bad BS.
    It doesn't matter who's BS.
And I appreciate the way you posted this, and what you had to say.

With this group, leaving it be tends to be the way to go. Unless ya really want four pages of folks calling for you to be tarred and feathered.

Karen the problem is horse owners ..when come for advice want or expect and yes..no..a garentee.. sorry that's just not the way it is..that's why all farriers are not created equal..that's why its damn near impossible to get two to agree on anything..its to damn subjective..if it essential they would be a great farrier on every corner ..they ain't and they is a reason for that...the first few post give Susan direct advise ...the other 99 after where passionate minds thinking it all out..trading trade secrets of what has or has not worked ...it all pretaned to the orginal post ..every bit of it...if horse owners come looking for a yes ..no..garentee..well they ain't gonna get that....that have a ask the expert over at H.S...hell they can go ask Chris..but this bunch pretty much carry the bulk of posting and they do that for a reason.....most don't have the balls to stick they neck out there..most can't handle the blows that come with it..so you end up with a few posting and a bunch watching and learning..look at how dead H.S is and what posting that is going on is from the same bunch that's here ...the other post are about poems and damn birthdays...they is a reason things are like they are....without the farriers its just lurking..not much fun in that...if you muffled the posters thinking it will bring others in ..sorry its proven that is wrong we will find another place to talk shop....pop in a thread do some directing give a warning if its waayyyy off topic or start another thread ..but please don't shut threads down and change post the read where we can't make heads or tails if we just log in after all the mayhem..

Eric Karens all Right She Just doesn't understand Farrier Forum Rodeo .Which is simple to understand .You climb in to the shoot. Gate opens the bull flies out bucking & trying to dump you on your ass . The crowed gets existed watching you trying to keep on top of the Bull & ride it out. If you come unstuck & bite the dust. Then the clowns run in & save your ass. Then every one waits to see what happens & who's riding in the next bull ride. Some get to ride time unscathed. Those that don't can sit the next bull ride out or jump straight on the next one out the shoot. The crowd Always has their favourites & the crowd decides in their own minds who stayed on top of the Bull & theres always plenty of bull to ride .

Moderating is like a news reporter. When the reporter becomes the news instead of reporting it they're done. When their are several posts / threads about a moderator it's safe to say they aren't doing a very good job moderating

Who gets to decide what's news Eric . You know the best way to settle this is to have a locked mod thread. Where the person making the complaint User name is listed & Who their complaining about. Sort out those with a legit grip & those who just have a grudge because they got their feathers ruffled. I complained about Thomas not being a farrier but posting in sorts as one. I don't mind being first to go on that mods list of complainants.

    Karen,
You have no way of knowing what we do and how we are. As I've said many times, the same way I don't (and couldn't) know about nursing, or educating 130,00 chicken herders.
When you've been hurt doing a craft that most people can not even do, and finish the horse that just gave you an injury that would hospitalize most people, come back and see us.
That's just the tip of the iceberg with us. We are in a profession that 95% of farrier school grads fail at doing. There is a camaraderie among Farriers that others can't be involved in.
None of the following is meant to be insulting, and is said in the nicest way I can. I have noticed you becoming more and more controlling and stifelling. You have become a subject and a distraction. Just let it go. We'll be just fine. We don't do well with PC speech and polite decorum.
You've said that you'll not be moderating soon, so why put yourself through this crap anymore, just ease out sooner.
Please note that I have made no reference to Nurse Ratched, and will not now.

We could have a section that was only for Moderated posting (the rest could be free), or we could have Volunteer Moderated Members who would be the only ones moderated if they were afraid they might hurt someone's feelings.

Only thing that seems to need regular moderation is the amount of alcohol consumed prior to and during some folks postings.

You wanted Karen to be forum moderator, you got it. Having half of the posts on the forum ABOUT Karen is part of the price you pay for getting what you want.

This is just Karen running wild because Ray has no interest in running a forum.
