After ten years of waiting I have finally moved to Colorado. My goal was to work outside and to do something that I love for the rest of my life. My first career in Texas was as a Football Coach and History Teacher. That was for the kids and now I want to do something for myself. I grew up working on two of my grandfathers ranches and have ranching experience. I've decided I want my primary job and career to be as a Farrier. I am willing to work for free during the apprentice and journeyman phase of training in trade for a place to sleep in a barn or outlying building. I also am handy with chores. I just helped a friend restore a 70 year old barn last week. I hope to make some friends here avoid a "School" if at all possible and develop a one on one Master and Apprentice relationship with someone looking for help, wanting to expand their clientele or simply would just enjoy teaching someone the trade.
