Been gone getting ready for a comp, and buying a house. Just looked, and had to go back three pages to find a photo of a hoof.

So here is the horse I shod at the contest. Sorry only got the one photo. 3/8 x 3/4 concave.

2 up the outside and 3 up the inside, trying to avoid the hoof missing and to give it a break. Looked smart, lecturer was happy :)

It was a college horse, he went lame. Vets said to pull his back shoes off and turn him away. Think he must of felt well in himself pulled the front left off and made a real mess of it, thankfully he had quite a bit of foot on him to rescue it a bit. Ended up putting a pair of machine made backs on him too as he was coming back in for gentle work. Was the brief I received :)

John what do you use/do to get such a clean finish. I'm so anal about my finish, but want to make it even more cleaner. Just different ideas and views to help me along :)
