    But yes my metal handling and forging is becoming much more in tune.

    I have 6 different sizes that hang on my anvil stand. Only because of the gaited shoes I work with...

    Well on a daily routine i could be handling 1/4, 5/16, 3/8,1/2

    Do they go numb at night? That sounds like one of the symptoms I was having. But I also had weakness where I'd just drop the tool because I couldn't hold it. Burning, aching, tingling, and weakness. Don't have any of that anymore.... except a little weakness in right hand but that's improving.

    One I did today. Didn't take any sole out except for sole pressure around the shoe. His sole was very soft and they didn't want pads. I'm still pretty new so what do you guys think? I took a picture from the side of the clinches as well but the picture turned out to dark to see. image.jpg

    Jacob how come you not grind in heel checks. .I take it he was cold shod seeing how you was worried with sole pressure.. the pic is good enough to see a solid job..

    You need some proper tongs of different sizes to handle the different cuts of steel; Example: 5/16, 3/8 a must!!!
    and then anything else you use; you have to have good tongs to help you work your steel on the anvil; and it helps to work your anvil in shaping shoes and get to know how to work your anvil.

    Shoeing looks good linda but lets talk about them rough hands..okeeffes working hands...check on some...but hey im from the south I will not even let my lady cut grass cause I dont want anyone drive by thinking myvlady does mans work..lol
