Went to tack a shoe back on a horse today that was recently dx'd with a "ligament sprain" via ultrasound. (About 3 days ago.) He has since developed a soft painful fluid filled golf ball sized lump where the block was admin'd. Vet says "it's more common than you think, don't worry about it".

My question is, have any of you seen this before? I've been around more dx sessions than I can recall and have never seen a horse develop a lump like this post nerve block. The only time I've seen anything remotely similar was after a trainer tried (and failed) to admin IV sedation on a horse whom I believe to have been possessed by Satan.
