Ya know my pet peve is to see farriers in a damn tank top/wife beater..no one wants ur nasty armpit sweat all over they horses legs..and dripping sweat all over the rack floor..but I'm gonna give the gal in jacs pic a pass this time..wonder if she went to heartland to learn that dress code..
Haha, well today I do not look sexy. I could win a wet t shirt contest, except its all from sweat. I'd have to stage a pose before actually working. lol
Click on the "view attachment 1209" just above. That's Raleigh Desiato. She is a great Farrier and Smith. Have seen verry few in this art with her passion. As I've told her, the reason I hate Women Farriers like her is that they can build shoes better than me and can kick my ass too.
I had a client who had me shoe ranch horses for him. He bought a horse from a gal who shoes her own and some on the side. it threw a shoe a few days later and she came out to replace it. As I was there for the regular shoeings he told me he thought I was a better Farrier, but that he sure liked watching her work better.
Don't have anyone to take a picture for me. So no "action" shot. lol I could not up stage Travis anyways Hot n Sweaty after work. Also a big difference since the picture taken at Steve's at Farrier Fest. Haven't realized how much I've lost til I compare pictures.
Thanks George; and yes that is me; Linda, I was photographed in 1999 at the farm in Delaware near Delaware Park shoeing an Arabian racing stallion [retired then/since died] owned by the 2nd Crown Prince of Dubai, at the time/then sold. Then was painted using me as the model. That is what I look like, even to this day.
