How arrogant of you to ASSume how I feel. But for the record; I do like horses. I do feel sorry for horses that are neglected or getting substandard care. I don't feel sorry for pretentious dilettantes that settle for good 'nuff. I don't feel anybody is ENTITLED to the luxury of owning a horse. I feel that with horse ownership comes the responsibility of giving the animal the best care possible - and if you can't achieve that for whatever reason then you probably shouldn't own a horse. Some people have excuses, some have results. Which do you have?
Well, you can not say I did not peg you correctly. If you are a true honorable tradesman, you apply your skills to the foot and owner at hand. If the above is the criteria with which you view your trade - well, all I can say is if you see an open begging beak - count your blessings and enjoy the ride. Furthermore, since you have nothing to offer on these feet that would sustain the scrutiny of a true master's debate, I would suggest you consider yourself excused from class and quit your substandard inference on all things owner or Karen. An apology would have been a much better gesture on your part.
Well, Mr Tom maybe it is time you BUTT out of Karen's thread, since your contributions much like the contents of your shorts are of little consequence.
Thank you for your opinion. I'm sure it's worthy of just as much consideration as you put into forming it.
I love horses My horses have never gotten substandard care-substandard farriers were never invited back. Ironically, they ALL farriers Horse ownership is a PRivilege, not an entitlement I don't feel sorry for anyone who settles for "good enough" care. In fact Some of us have been a member of a farrier board for 5 years-trying to ensure the best of care for a horse. And been knocked around by idiots like you who consider and treat owners who come here like a joke. Years ago Some of us had been single parents and there were times when parent and teen agreed to live on Kraft Macaroni and Cheese -to keep the horse in the best of care. I have never had excuses, I have never settled, Why the hell do you think I 've posted so many pictures over the years looking for guidance? Why do you think Bruce generously drove down here to give guidance ? This trim is at 6 weeks. My point being that her feet look pretty damn good for being 6 weeks. Except for that toe crack, my point was never whether she was due for a trim or not. My point was to show that I finally got a trim I think is good. Perfect? No. But getting there. And this trim was full of correcting the shit that was done prior. I'm getting results, none of which are from your Ignorant guidance.
No, I think they are due for a trim, and notice how well they did for 6 weeks. I Always tell farriers that I like a 5-6 week schedule. That's what I've always done. That toe needs attention. Agreed. But the initial trim was very well done, and did have to correct alot of mistakes , like the medials 1/2 inch higher. The "needs a better trim" sounds like this trim was sub par. Do you remember "hoof in hand"? No need to be sorry , Rick, at least your motives are honorable.
Karen - Sure wish you had your buttons back. I think there needs to be a new rule: An owner can dismiss a useless farrier from their thread. All in favor say Eye for an Eye! Eyes have it! Mr Underpants: The committee of the 3 owners who post on this forum do hereby give you 2 second notice to take your silly tata buttons and vacate the thread. You are considered a free man to go elsewhere. Owner's perrogative. Ciao!
Tom, you stated loud and clear in a pm that if I didn't step down as moderator, you would find another forum. Well, you got your wish, your bull$hit was not worth putting up with. So please stay out of any thread I start. I really don't want to hear anything you post in them.
It's OK for you to say that. It's OK for you to say that. You can read whatever meaning you want into the words. Like a knight in sweet shiny amour, coated in waffle syrup.
Far as I know you are free to not read anything I write. But I could be wrong. Somebody might be holding a gun to your head. If that's the case, we'll send the FL division of the Amish Special Forces to your door and secure your freedom. You'll hear them doing a "drive by" once in a while. It goes like this "clip, clop, clip, clop . . . band, bang, bang"
So, just keep cluttering up a thread with your nonsense. People Do really see you for what you are. And to think, someone made you an administrator? You are a poor example.
You have such patience Karen. I will keep my comments clean - but lordy he is a nasty one. Ray and Eric need to rethink his role for sure.
If it's nonsense, why do you agree with it? I hope so. I'm not pretending to be something I'm not. Yes. That someone was my dear friend, Gladly the cross eyed bear. He's quite far sighted. Well if I had a lot of money I could be a rich example.
