Ray you asked for info. I myself would not get involved in threads like everyday shoeing, business matters, etc. Some things I just consider farrier stuff only. I can "like" a shoeing job with a button. No advice.

If I want to chat about some topic more than a comment, I have asked a similar question down below (re: WWYD). However it was trashed. Asking for a recommended book-trashed, etc. So far I've had a much better chance of not having a thread like that trashed by getting into the farrier discussion already progressing.

I do find that there are fewer farrier discussions that should be off limits by agreement or courtesy , not a rule.
AND I have truly appreciated those of you who have posted your threads in the owner section -because you didn't mind the participation

If any of you farriers have something nasty to say here about my reply, please keep it to yourself!

    Ray,
I am a little confused by what it is you mean exactly. Punctuation is everything. ( ie: A woman: without her, man is nothing. vs ....A woman without her man is nothing). Do you mean non farriers, non blacksmiths, non trimmers? or do you mean non farriers, blacksmiths or trimmers? If you mean the latter, I'm a trimmer (who just hasn't nailed on a horseshoe, yet-still trying to get the damn trim right) and I occasionally post here.
(ETA --missed Thomas's name already mentioned in original post)

    Denise,

sorry for the confusion ,thanks for asking for the clarification.

what I meant was ,of those who comment in the farriers section, who are not farriers/blacksmiths/ trimmers, i did not add ,professional, nor did i say hoof care provider, knowing that it can be expanded in almost anyway that someone wishes. I was just trying to get an idea of who makes up this forum, as you can see alot more info has come forward,

it's only a question to let me know who i'm talking with , even though the discussion of how to prove credibility has been advanced.

sorry for my poor punctuation, you should hear how i type in other languages!

i sure wish you had used a different example the the woman without..... it could need it's own set of tracks, but i know what your saying, if you think i write poorly you don't want to hear me speak.

regards and thanks for taking the time to clarify.

I never said you write poorly, nor do I think it (I just needed clarification so I didn't misinterpret). But if you have that New England accent, spare me...
