Well that foot was finished by hand with no buffer, though he has had a buffer used on him for close to three years and there is usually not a lot of cleaning up to do since he's on a five week schedule. The shoe was cleaned up on the grinder before it went back on including the clip edges, if a buffer was used the clip would be shiny all the way across. I will withdraw that entry since it is being questioned.
I don't understand why you wouldn't want peoples best efforts with their finishing. Justin's entry is fantastic.
if anybody says they finished by hand i have to take there word so as far as i'm concerned that post was a runner
yes......let's do HIND Shoeing only!!!!!.....for lameness or different sport events.......ex: reining; lateral ext.; wedged hinds; hind bars; C & W; roaster; squared hinds; stifle shoe, ect. can be either keg modified or handmade; but must specify which way.
Sounds like a plan coming together here. Plater could you start a thread with your requirements if thats what we'd like. Or alternatively there was Travis with the glue idea and Rick with tool making. Im off to drink beer tonight, and not the ones Ray has been holding out on me!!
Linda s Octoberfest contest has left me with some questions... is there to be beer while shoeing the hind hoof ,and will the St.Pauli Girl model be there? if the answer to either is yes, I'm guessing that this contest should be a good one. David,I have not been holding out any beer on you, they...were... Stouts, I do notice you don't even offer anyone else a beer... Ray Ray
Zack has started us off...... ...Let the party begin yeah, he comes John in; and now David anyone else????
Let's Party; don't be shy ..........and it's....... 100 - 3 = 97 bottles of beer on the wall, 97 bottles of beer; oh, have another picture of a hind shoe... n...... 1 bottle of beer to fall! and have 96 bottles of beer on the wall...........and 1 St. Paulie Girl Model, ME!!!
