    Not usually, it was just one of those things when I was turning the toe, I thought why not, so I did.

    The only time i would weld at the toe if i was making a graduated bar shoe

    I usually don't weld the toe, but I thought it'd be fun to try, so why not.

    Did you make them in the gas or coke forge?
    Are you going to put quarter clips on at the horse?

    Coke Gary ,doing 2 horses with egg-bars this week
    doing one tomoro i might make them on site.

    I could use some help welding out of gas.

    welding aint that hard gas or coke
    most of the time its how confident you are

    I'm confident it won't work.
    I don't seem to get the heat in the scarfs.
    It would be nice to blame my forge but I don't think I can :rolleyes:

    Try and see if you can burn a shoe in it, if you can then it will weld.

    I think that's the problem - used to be able to do it in coke, but haven't used a coke forge since I qualified.
    I tried when I got the gas forge and quickly gave up. Now I just arc weld the bars, but it feels like cheating... :(
