So I shod a horse at the Vet clinic today and as I was packing up, one of the Vets returned from a call. We exchanged pleasantries then she asked if I was working with Shannon Eggel (our own Shannon who posts here). I said I have been, and the Vet went on and on about how much better Shannon has become and the horses have proper size shoes with lots of good heel behind and such. Then she said, "I'm probably not a very good Feminist, but I've never seen a decent female Farrier that I would recommend other than Shanon". I guess my next trick is to try and keep up.
I think the fu fu barefoot trimmers have made it much harder for the female farriers. I try to educate people of the difference...
bout all i can add to that is nor does race, nationality, or religious affiliation,if any, or style of shoeing......nor does any of it mean anything to the dobbin , if it works! Ray
Yes a farrier is a farrier!!!! A good farrier is a good farrier!!!!! So far class, gender, religion or race hasn't had a Bering on how good they are. With you on this Ray
