That's probably it, I hear Mexico has better living standards than the US, sanitary living conditions less crime and such.

For the record Chris I feel we should mind our own business and stay out of other countries and let them sort there problems out on there own. Who cares if some dictator kills a million people. That's called population control and with less people in the world that's less mouths to feed, less oil consumption, etc. so that will make my cost of living go down.

We must not be to bad didn't you just make a trip over here?

I think a majority of the people in this country feel the same way, there are a great many who are just blind to actual facts.

Interesting how the thread has developed, on the whole its been quite enjoyable. Personally I like the USA having travelled all over your great country. I landed in your capital city of Los Angeles and traveled north to San Francisco, south to San Diago and east to Palm Springs.

The people in Palm springs said if I went any further east I would fall off the edge! How ever I did and ended up in Las Vegas, but thats it after that isnt it?

    George,
LA is the Capitol of the Mexican state of Norte California.
    David,
Small world, I grew up in San Francisco, and several of my kids spent Christmas in Palm Springs.

I didnt relilise it was a requirement to be without prior history, Im guessing the pool to draw on will be getting small in that case! Take a leaf out of Italys book they arnt shy of a bit of presidential scandal, Berlusconi is standing again!

Though I grew up in an Italian neighborhood, I have never dreamed that our country should be run the way Italy is or has been.

Funny how Americans all love America and think that we are the greatest country ever was or ever will be ( me included ) but so many seem to dislike our duly elected president ( except me ).

As far as Hilary goes, I agree with David that her hair is sometimes less than perfect, and hope she gets a handle on that before her two terms as president, beginning in 2017.

    Regards

    rick,
We have a great system. We have half the country happy and half the country pissed from 4-8 year periods each. In between there is daily comedy coming from DC.

Count me in that group. I didn't vote for him either time, don't like or respect him(though I have utmost respect for the office) and would not take a bullet for him. He is not 'my' president and never will be. If I was walking along the bank of a river and he was in the river thrashing about and he called out to me "hey, give me a hand", I'd stop, give him a (y) and then proceed to vigorously clap my hands.

    Rick,
    I voted for him!!
In '08 in the California primary, as a registered independent, I was given a Democrat ballot. Thinking that I may never have another opportunity to vote against Hillary, I marked his box.
