Yea, I think of that as a football game referee that doesn't allow touching, bumping, piling on eachother, tackling....no one would watch. Certainly more freedom here. I'd rather have the x-rays, as well as other owners would. I loved the brawling.

But you can't say that the owners are the ones who need the watered down whiskey, there have been NO owners who have reported brawling. And only one owner was instructed to take out the swear words, and take out degrading comments that are personal.

I think Ray's initial ideas were right on-wanting to see how much freedom members wanted here; more or less than the other site. Apparently more is wanted. Fine with me. But as with a football referee, there needs to be someone who is assigned to not let it get out of hand. And please, football ref is just an example.

There are only a handful of owners on here. If they are offended by farriers talk, they should find another forum. But that still doesn't mean that anyone needs to put up with swear words , and degrading for any personal reason.

Travis, I think you ask just the right questions-and not biased, just the way it is.

By Ray's guidelines, and what he wants a moderator or two for, is to limit the swear words, and delete any degrading remarks that are personal or not shoeing related. And this goes for all members, not just those who think they're the elite

Why don't you just turn on the bad words filter?

They don't bother me. Should I just leave them there?

Yes. Those filters generally need a lot of tweaks.

Doesn't bother me either. I've not found a definition for Funkenwagnel, so I've assigned my own.

Funkenwagnel: A small chest designed primarily for safe keeping of documents.
